Seit 1965 stellte die DB achteckige Schalthäuser aus Beton auf. Diese gibt es nun für die Spur 1 als Fertigmodell bei Asoa.In den Schalthäuschen war zum Beispiel die Elektrik für Bahnübergänge untergebracht und andere Komponenten der Zugsicherung und Beleuchtungsanlagen.
Das Modell wird für Asoa von Modellbau Voth aus einer keramischen Gießmasse hergestellt, die wetterfest sein soll. Das Fertigmodell kostet 70 €.
